“I did my first B2R race back in 2013 at the Sea2Sky in Newcastle based on a recommendation from a friend who had previously done the Gosford Run Forest Run and raved about it. I registered on the evening and was immediately taken by the friendliness of the organisers and the atmosphere at the event both amongst the runners and the many spectators. The route was tough but the buzz was just great and I was hooked! I have been a regular ever since and have been very impressed with the overall slick organisation at every event, smooth registration, fantastic, well marked and marshalled routes, great after race goodies and superb race photography/video from Mervyn at My Sports Photo and more recently new sponsors, Belfast Telegraph. B2R races are definitely for all ages and abilities and I would recommend them to everyone without hesitation. Recently a new range of B2R branded clothing has been introduced and again it is well designed, good quality and reasonably priced. Regular updates and articles are posted on the Facebook page. B2R definitely do great races in great places organised by great people; what’s not to like! Thank you Carol, Jane, Gerard and all the crew.”

“Born2Run events epitomise everything I love about running - the freedom of running amidst stunning scenery off road and among friends. All wrapped up in meticulously organised events - from start to finish runners are looked after by great event organisers, treated to amazing locations, post run refreshments and the all important bling! Born2Run events do what they say on the tin ‘great races in great places’!”
Gillian Barnhill, Seapark AC
“I’ve run several of the races organised by BORN2RUN and have always thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The race routes are always well set out and the locations are stunning. I’m really looking forward to my next run in Castlewellan.”
Fran Fahy, Ardamine, Co. Wexford
“I absolutely love the BORN2RUN races, they’re always an exciting get-together of friends from all over the country. The terrain is always interesting and the smiling encouragement from the organisers and marshals tops all other events. Oh, and did I mention the bling?!!”
Donna Owens, Co. Tyrone.
“Born2Run got me into running and is the reason i’ve kept at it. In 2015 Run Forest Run Castlewellan was my first ever 10k, and I loved it so much I’ve been to every one of the races since, whether I’ve been running or marshalling. The atmosphere at a Born2Run race is unique. You see people of all ages and abilities - it’s like one big running family. The organizers are some of the nicest people you could ever meet they go out of their way to make each runner feel welcome, and put a lot of hard work in to make your race experience a memorable one!! All that combined with the best medals and post race goodies about (yummy soup, chocolate, protein milk to name a few!!!) is what makes Born2Run races so special to me!! Whether you’re just starting out as a runner or are a seasoned athlete, a Born2Run race is a must-do”
Rachel Madine, Ballynahinch, Co. Down.
“Several things keep bringing me back to BORN2RUN Races;
Fiona Teague, Belfast
‘The Born2Run team have created a major schedule of winter & summer races. Once the schedule is out, into the diary they go which means I have targets to aim for on a very regular basis. I can also be guaranteed that the 10k routes will be well selected in some of NI’s most scenic settings. Looking back on previous race time allows me to keep track of progress (!) and the ever increasing number of runners is extremely motivational.
The post race hospitality…….especially the soup, is wonderful.
Overall no better way to spend a Saturday morning.’
Ed Vernon, Belfast.
‘I’ve taken part in many Born 2 Run races, including the Run Forest Run series, and I have thoroughly enjoyed each and every event. From the fantastic venues and stunning scenery to the pre and post race hospitality the B2R team never disappoint. I love collecting all the medals and the various branded clothing. The support and music along the route always gives me an extra push to get up those hills. I try and participate in as many races as I can and keep coming back for more. Keep up the great work guys’.
Nicola Mathers, Belfast
