TOLLYMORE
Tollymore 5K/10K is the 3rd race in the Run Forest Run Series and a must do to get your Festive bling in the lead up to Christmas.
The race route takes in panoramic views of the Mourne Mountains and follows the forest path alongside the Shimna River in a gradual ascent past the Hermitage and through the beautiful forest where scenes from Game of Thrones were filmed. (Only a 40 minute drive from Newry).

This avails of our early bird discount offer for all six races (plus postage). To enter all six races on one registration CLICK HERE.
Runners who complete 5 out of 6 races will receive a commemorative t-shirt (NEW DESIGN TBC). Runners who complete all 6 races will receive a bonus medal at the Race Finale in Castlewellan on Saturday 17th February 2024.

What are the start times for each race?
11.00am (The 5K will start shortly after the 10K race). Race start times subject to change dependant on current Government Covid Guidelines. Start / Finish area is in the car park close to the Registration building.
Can I register for the event on the day?
Online entry only. We will only have on-the-day entry if we don’t sellout online.

Registration will be located in the Marquee close to the start/finish line and will be clearly signposted on race day.
What time is the event registration?
Not applicable at this event as all Race Bibs will be posted prior to the event so runners will be ready to head straight to the start line. Your Race Bib should arrive with you no later than 14th December. If your pack has not arrived by this date please advise us by email (info@born2runevents.com) so we can arrange a replacement. Please allow plenty of time to reach the event venue.
When will I receive my registration confirmation?
Confirmation of your race entry will be sent to you automatically via email from Enthuse Events after your payment is made. All race packs will be posted out to participants to arrive by 12th December 2024. Any Merchandise ordered at time of entry will be available for collection on Race Day at the Merchandise Desk in the Registration Marquee. A Final Race Day Information email will be sent to all registered participants on Thursday of race week please check your junk mail in case it lands there.
If I can’t run can I get a refund or defer my race entry?
By entering the race you will be bound by the event disclaimer which you agreed to at time of registration. Refunds or transfer of entry to another event are not available once entry has been completed. You are however permitted to transfer your entry to a family member/friend by emailing: info@born2runevents.com. Full Terms & Conditions are available to view at time of entry on the Enthuse Events Registration website.
What are the parking facitities at this event?
Free parking for all runners, please car share where possible. Parking for runners will be in the upper car park so please follow Marshal directions.
What time is the prizegiving?
Prize giving will be at 12 noon. 5K & 10K – Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female Finishers. Category Prizes will only be awarded at the end of the Series to runners who completed 5 out of 6 races. Five quickest race results will be used to calculate winners.
What does my entry fee include?

Are pets allowed?
Sorry, no pets allowed.
Will there be water stations?
As this is a Winter race there will be no water station so please carry water with you if required.
Where are the toilets/shower facilities located?
Toilet facilities are available in the main car park toilet block and also in the stone educational building adjacent to the upper car park.
What footwear should I bring?
The course is a mixture of tarmac and forest paths. Care should be taken on the forest paths as surfaces uneven. Running shoes/trail shoes (personal choice and dependent on weather conditions) are suitable for all the terrain on the 5K &10K route.
Can I run with a buggy?
Due to the nature of this course, for health and safety purposes, it is not suitable for buggies.
