The beautiful hidden gem, Drum Manor Forest Park, Cookstown, is the second race in the Winter Series. Drum Manor is the most centrally located Forest Park in the Province lying immediately south of the Sperrin Mountains and west of Lough Neagh. The race route, predominantly on forest trails, weaves its way through the estate. Drum Manor is colourful in Autumn with a shrub, butterfly and Japanese garden, arboretum, ponds and mixed woodlands. Event Information

We’ve teamed up with Macmillan NI as our charity partners for the 2019/20 Forest Series. Macmillan provide physical, financial and emotional support to help people with cancer live life as fully as possible. If you wish, you can also support Macmillan NI by making a £1 donation or amount of your choice while entering any of the races online, just tick the appropriate box.

Runners who complete 6 out of 8 races will receive a FREE commemorative Tshirt (new design for this year TBA). CLICK HERE for details. 

If you complete all 8 races you will receive a bonus medal at the race Finale in Castlewellan on Saturday 22nd February 2020.

Entry Fees

Online Registration (before 11pm on Wednesday 13th November 2019) and for option of posting out race pack (before 11pm on Wednesday 6th November 2019).

5K & 10K RACE: £22 

Early Bird offer of £20 if you register before 11pm on Wednesday 16th October 2019.

JUNIOR 5K RACE: £15 (junior rate applies to runners aged 11-17 years)

JUNIOR 10K RACE: £15 (junior rate applies to runners aged 15-17 years)

Junior Early Bird offer of £13 if you register before 11pm on Wednesday 16th October 2019.

(plus £3 if postal option chosen NI & £4 ROI).

Please note PRIMO registration processing fees apply in addition to above and are clearly displayed at point of entry.

Registration Confirmation
Confirmation of your race entry will be sent to you automatically via email from Primo Events after your payment is made. If you choose the option to have your Race Pack posted out to you before the day then this should arrive with you no later than the Wednesday prior to race day. Otherwise your race number and chip timing will be given to you at Registration on the morning of the race.

Terms & Conditions
By entering the race you will be bound by the event disclaimer which you agreed to at time of registration.  Refunds are not available once entry has been completed. Runners are permitted to transfer entry to a family member/friend if they email Born 2 Run Events with the details prior to the on-line entry closing date. (Transfer of entry to another event is not available). Full Terms & Conditions are available to view at time of entry on the Primo Events Registration website.

Event Registration
Race packs can be collected on the day from the Registration Area which will be clearly signposted from the car park.

Registration Times:  
Saturday 16th November 2019: 
9.00am – 10.30am

There is limited parking at Drum Manor Forest so please car share where possible.  There is a Council operated car park close by. Please follow marshals directions to the allocated parking area for runners .  

Start/Finish Area
Close to the Registration Building.  Look out for the inflatable BORN2RUN gantry.

Strictly no pets.

Water Stations
There will be no water station on the 5K or 10K route so if you require water please make arrangements to carry it with you.

Toilet Facilities  
Close to Registration and Portaloos.

Post Race Refreshments
Hydration station at finish line.   Complimentary refreshments will be served post race.

Prizegiving – 12 noon.  5K & 10K: Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Male and Female Finishers. Category Prizes will only be awarded at the end of the Series to runners who completed 6 out of 8 races.  Six quickest race results will be used if more than 6 races completed.  

The course is a mixture of tarmac and forest paths. Care should be taken on the forest paths as surfaces uneven. Running shoes/trail shoes (personal choice and dependent on weather conditions) are suitable for all the terrain on the 5K & 10K route.
